The Enhance Hamilton County Foundation (EHCF) improves the quality of life for all by promoting charitable giving, connecting donors with causes they care about and providing leadership on important community issues and is a local organization with an advisory board made up of local people who are passionate about the future of our county.
At their annual meeting held on March 13, 2019, the EHCF elected and installed a new slate of officers that include: Kyle Swon, President; Kendra Chizek, Vice President; Dick Anderson and Travis Barrick, co-Treasurers; and Mark Dohms, Secretary. Other board members include: Kristen Crystal, Brian Holt, Lisa Ridge, Dale Sigmund, and Jeanne Wintermote.
As a community foundation, the EHCF has two primary roles – acting as a strategic grantmaker in Hamilton County and helping donors give back to the causes and organizations they care about. Through their annual grant process, they are able to work closely with local nonprofits to provide funds that address the needs of the county. This also enables them to stay alert to the emerging issues throughout Hamilton County.
In addition to their grantmaking work, they offer personalized service to help individuals achieve their charitable giving goals. Establishing a charitable giving fund at the community foundation provides a simple, powerful and highly personal approach to giving back to the causes and organizations that are most important to you. They have a variety of fund types available to meet your specific needs and are able to accept a variety of gifts including cash, stock, real estate, grain and others.
